Week 3 Zoom Notes
For Week 3 Zoom lessons, we were led by Ellie Tsatsou who gave us a talk based on Self-reflection & Creativity which was linked into the previous lecture she gave in the first term of year 3. The reason it connects is to bring our brains and feelings together and get them written down on paper as it could be motivational to you. The workshop as a whole was very personal and to me out of my comfort zone as we were given prompts to either answer straight away or just think about ready for next weeks workshop.
The prompts included:
- Motivation
- Mentor
- Expanders
- Limiting Beliefs

Though I personally couldn't answer them in the sense of writing certain things down on paper due to me not feeling comfortable in doing so, I really thought about each prompt and what my answers could be. I wrote down the answers I felt comfortable publishing on my workbook such as saying that my limiting beliefs are 'people not believing in me', 'money' and 'some family members saying I won't be successful'. I feel as though I would answer the prompts in my own time and keep them on paper for myself to look back on as I feel as if they could motivate me in working harder and becoming who I want to be.
There are also some prompts we need to think about ready for next weeks lesson such as three key words that describe our work currently and other inspirations we may have.
The second part of this weeks session was to have a tutorial with Tiana and Sabela if we wanted to and I took that opportunity because I wanted to gather some feedback on my idea and where I am up to currently with my research. I firstly spoke about my idea in as much detail as I could and then explained the research material I had already published on my workbook. They wanted to see my moodboard so that they could understand the route I was going down alongside the cuisines I was currently looking to photograph.

Tiana explained to me that it might be useful to work backwards and plan how how my layout could look like as well as how many images I would need per page or the whole book. This would also give me an idea of where the text would go as I am thinking of showing all of the recipes alongside the food photographed. I also was told by both Tiana and Sabela that I could start looking into doing test shoots so that they can see visually the ideas that I had and the situation I have when it comes to lighting which I think I may have trouble with at the moment.
